SUPPORTING LOCAL MUSIC - IT'S WHAT WE DO, RIGHT? We love to catch local artists doing what they do best and we love promoting their work even more! So check out the great artists below by reading about them and then clicking on their images to visit their web pages!

  • Jatoba - Vermont-based acoustic trio with a distinctly unique sound. Their music consists of quick, high-energy bluegrass tempos, thumping rockabilly bass lines, and soaring three-part vocal harmonies, as well as punchy rhythmic improvisation, effects-driven guitar solos, beat-boxing, and even the occasional sitar interlude. The band delivers a live show which encompasses all of these aspects, as well as improvisatory jams, seamless flow, and effective crowd interaction. A rebellious response to typical jam grass, Jatoba has something that listeners of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy.
  • Roots of Creation - This reggae-rock force has become one of the go-to party bands throughout VT, NH and MA. Based in Keene, NH but with members from all over New England, they have stretched their fan base all throughout the area. Roots was featured on the cover of Issue 3 of Cider Magazine way back in the day and they have been tearing it up ever since. Catch this killer band whenever you can. Local shows are a little scarce so you better pay attention!
  • The Lynguistic Civilians- Hailing from the green hills of Burlington, VT The Lynguistic Civilians have been making VT Hip Hop since 2009. 5 very hard hitting MC's and their fearless DJ MC, this group has established itself as the number 1 hip hop group in VT. Travelling all over New England and beyond, they have shared the stage with such rap moguls like Lil Kim, Inspectah Deck and Killah Priest. With six very diversified personalities, their riginal music is one of a kind.
  • Flabberghaster - Flabberghaster came flying onto the scene in 2010 and they haven't stopped for a minute since. their unique take on funk infused rock and roll has caught the ear of the fans so much it brought in honors like Brattleboro's Best Band 2 years running, not to mention Favorite Rock Band and Performers of the Year at the 1st Annual Cider Awards. Elliot, Jimmy, Marcel, Tucker and Evan are as hard working of a band as you will ever find and it shows in their incredible stage performances.
  • Bow Thayer - What would Vermont music be without Bow? Well, it would be a lot less cool, that's for sure. Bow's reach goes well beyond just the two bands he fronts.. Perfect Trainwreck and Holy Plow. His little backyard shindig called Tweed River has become the most talked about Festival of the year, bringing in a cool 1,500 people each summer and his tireless performance schedule has him on stage from VT to the carolinas, Florida to California and back again. It's hard to drop Bow into a genre, but it's somewhere in that rock/blues/americana/folk... well, whatever it is.. it's damn cool.
  • The Natalie Turgeon Band - When it comes to country music and when it comes to the powerhouse voice you expect with country music, there is one voice that stands out above the rest. Natalie and the band have skyrocketed to local fame after Natalie's incredible performance of the National Anthem at Loudon's Nascar Race last year. Her strong voice and country roots has earned her national acclaim and just last year she was crowned as Cider's Favorite Vocalist at the 1st Annual Cider Awards. Natalie and the band call Concord, NH home but you can always find them playing out every weekend at a local honkey tonk near you.
  • Stegga - The Electronic Dance Movement is impossible to ignore, and standing at the front of the charge in our area is STEGGA. also known as Justin, Stegga brings an incredibly unique twist on dubstep and house and mixes that with an energetic stage presence that has fans clamering for space on the dance floor when he steps to the tables. Stegga came out of nowhere last year to win Favorite EDM DJ at the Cider Awards and many gambling men would put their money on him for a repeat performance. If you are an EDM fan, than STEGGA needs to be on your list of shows to see. Find him on facebook at stegga music.
